About IEEE
IEEE is the world’s largest professional association dedicated to advancing technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity. IEEE and its members inspire a global community through IEEE’s highly cited publications, conferences, technology standards, and professional and educational activities.

IEEE Sweden – is the Swedish part (as Region 8) of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) for the technical fields of electrical, electronics, and computer engineering.
- operates 21 sections as well as 4 student branches in universities and colleges,
- publishes an electronic newsletter, a general interest magazine through the IEEE Sweden Press,
- maintains a website containing publication archives, a digital library of specialized lectures, and a showcase of Swedish achievement
- recognizes the individual achievements of its members through an extensive program of awards,
- promotes student growth and development by providing scholarships and grants through the IEEE Sweden and IEEE Foundation
