Life on Venus, and how to explore Venus with high-temperature electronics
2020-10-01 @ 17:00 - 18:00
FreeSpeaker: Carl-Mikael Zetterling, KTH
Recently phosphine was discovered in the cloud cover of Venus. Since the researchers could find no natural cause, it has been speculated in media whether this is a sign of life on Venus.
KTH has been working on electronics for high-temperature operation, for instance on the surface of Venus (460 C!). In this presentation, I will talk a little bit about the speculations of life on Venus, how Venus could be explored if we send another mission there, and what research KTH is doing in Kista on high-temperature electronics.
Max 50 people in Sal A.
