IEEE is also one of the leading global organisations in developing technology standards and publishing almost a third of global technology journals that support many industries and professions. IEEE is the trusted “voice” for engineering, computing and technology information around the globe. We believe that IEEE Mauritius Section has much to offer students, researchers, educators, technology professionals and practitioners in Mauritius.

The Mauritius Section has over 100 members hailing from academia and industry. Since 2011, we set an ambitious programme to improve the well-being of the Mauritian society through the application of technology, science and engineering knowledge. To date, we have held an increasing number of international conferences in Mauritius every year with participants and researchers coming from all over the world to encourage the exchange of ideas across borders. In 2022-2023, we look forward to holding more events: conferences, workshops and seminars in collaboration with several universities and institutions for the benefit of all IEEE members and guests.
