Biography Michael Shur:
Prof. Shur holds a Patricia W. and C. Sheldon Roberts Professor of Solid State Electronics at Rennselaer Polytechnic Institute, New York, USA.

He received the MSEE (with honors) from St. Petersburg Electrotechnical University (LETI), the Ph.D. in Physics from A. F. Ioffe Institute of Physics and Technology, and the Dr. Phys. Math. Sc. from A. F. Ioffe Institute of Physics and Technology in 1992. Prof. Shur helds the Honorary doctorate from St. Petersburg State Technical University (1994) and University of Vilnius (2016), respectively.

He is a Fellow of IEEE and the recipient of several awards and serve in various comittees. He has more than 54389 citiations and an h-index of 106 of the last 5 years.
