Communication Society Completes the 4th phase of its Digital Marketing Project
On January 20, 2024,the IEEE Communication Society – Nigeria Section Chapter under the chairmanship of Prof Nasir Faruk completed the 4th phase of its training centered on Digital Marketing. The project sponsored by the IEEE Humanitarian Technology Board (HTB) developed an ICT Village Hub (IEEE ComSoc ICT Village) in the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology, Sule Lamido University Kafin hausa, Jigawa State, Nigeria. In line with its goal, more than 400 youths participated in the training.
As part of the project, Digital Literacy and Digital Marketing Skills training was provided to 100 students of the faculty of Computing and Information technology on how they can maximize the availability of the Internet service for wealth creation and effective learning outcomes in the University.
In his words, Prof Nasir expressed happiness about the project: “I am proud to announce that all the participants have successfully completed the training program and received certificates of achievement. The feedback we have received from the participants has been overwhelmingly positive. Many of them shared how this training has opened up new opportunities for them and equipped them with the skills necessary to improve their businesses or find employment in the digital marketing industry”.
