The main goal of the IEEE Germany EDS Chapter it to support technological innovations in the area of the electronic devices including
- Provision and maintaining a forum for the knowledge exchange between industry, colleges and research institutes
- Support to the formation of interest groups as a base for common research projects
- Cultivation of a professional network
- Service for the local EDS community by organizing seminars and workshops
