Python is a high-level, general-purpose programming language. Its design philosophy emphasizes code readability with the use of significant indentation. Python is dynamically typed and garbage-collected. It supports multiple programming paradigms, including structured, object-oriented and functional programming. As GDSC-IUL, and IEEE-IUL we will take you through an interactive tour of learnin all what you should know about python, from basics to creation of projects. Join us on our sociasl media, Twitter and Instagram, for an amazing experience , with a chance to win great prizesafter the completion of the needed materials and tasks. Optimal Modulation & Controller for Power Electronic Systems

Bldg: Faculty of Engineering, Liu, Saloumi, Beirut, Lebanon, Lebanon, 0000, Virtual: https://events.vtools.ieee.org/m/358969

Dear Colleagues, Students and Friends, On behalf of the IEEE Lebanon Joint Chapter (IE13/PE31/CAS04/PEL35) and IEEE LIU Student Branch, you kindly invited to attend the DL hybrid presentation on Tuesday, April 25th, 2023, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. The DL speaker is Professor Petros Karamanakos and the delivered topic is Optimal modulation, such as optimized pulse patterns (OPPs). Topic Abstract Optimal modulation, such as optimized pulse patterns (OPPs), can produce very low harmonic distortions. However, due to inherent difficulties, OPPs cannot be easily utilized in a closed-loop control setting with conventional control techniques. This lecture discusses how optimal control can enable the design of high-bandwidth controllers that can fully harvest the advantages of OPPs. Moreover, aspects that relate to the control concept, formulation, and real-time implementation are analyzed. The superior steady-state and dynamic performance of the presented control algorithms is demonstrated with two different case studies: low- and medium-voltage variable-speed drive systems.
