ASME Student Regional Team in the Middle East and Africa Region in collaboration with the American University of Beirut Robotics Club and IEEE Lebanon Joint Chapter RAS/IMS/CSS invites you to our workshop PCB design workshop by Eng. Hani Al Jamal. Hani is an incoming Ph.D. student in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the Georgia Institute of Technology. His research interests include RF circuit design techniques and battery-less electromagnetic-based sensors and has been involved in the design of several PCBs. In 2022, Hani graduated from the American University of Beirut with a BEng in ECE (with High Distinction). There, he served as the President of the AUB Robotics Club and was the recipient of the Distinguished Graduate Award in addition to the Dean’s Award for Creative Achievement. Whether it be phones, planes, robots, drones, cars or IoT devices, _PCBs are everywhere. This workshop will introduce you to common hardware prototyping techniques and then walk through an end-to-end process of realizing a hardware circuit from the brainstorming and simulation phase to component selection, schematic capture, PCB layout, fabrication, and testing. You will learn how to design your own PCB on KiCad through a step-by-step virtual tutorial. It will be held virtually on Monday, July 25, 2022, at 6:30 PM Beirut Time 11:30 USA time.
