As technologies advances, batteries are widely envisioned to be one of the major energy storage elements to be used in applications such as smart microgrids, electric vehicles, etc. for their autonomy, distributed energy resources hosting capability, enhancements in reliability and resilience, etc. This presentation will highlight the Smart Battery Gauge (SBG) technology that has been developed in ADAC lab and FREEDM Center at North Carolina State University.
