Student Resources
Launch of the third edition of the IEEE Italy Section PES Scholarship Plus Initiative which provides to students enrolled in the last year of the Master degree an internship within a major player of the energy and power industry to develop their Master thesis.
Awards & Recognitions
The IEEE Italy PES Chapter has been active in awarding prizes to deserving persons in their field of study.
Several prizes have been awarded:
- since 2004, the Best Thesis Award (BTA) in Power Engineering for the best PhD thesis defended in an Italian University; (discover the current winner)

since 2020, the Outstanding Engineer Award (OEA); (discover the current winner) and

since 2020, the Outstanding Chapter Volunteer Award (OCVA) (discover the current winner).
Furthermore, the IEEE Italy PES Chapter submitted successful nominations for the IEEE Italy Section Industrial Distinguished Lecturer Award; and announced the call for the award “New Challenges for Energy and Industry”, thanks to the financial sponsor of one of the major players in the electric power industry (ABB).
