Awards
Since 2004, the IEEE Italy PES Chapter has annually awarded several prizes to the most deserving figures in their field.
Since 2004, the “Best Thesis Award” (BTA) in power engineering (topics related to power systems, power delivery and energy conversion) for the best doctoral thesis defended in an Italian university has been awarded annually.

Since 2020, two more awards have been announced and awarded by the Italian PES Chapter:
- the “Outstanding Engineer Award” (OEA), and
- the “Outstanding Chapter Volunteer Award” (OCVA).
In addition, the IEEE Italy PES Chapter has submitted successful nominations of Chapter members for the 2018, 2020, and 2021 IEEE Italy Section “Industrial Distinguished Lecturer Award“.
Finally, the IEEE Italy PES Chapter announced the call for applications for the 2021 “Awards on New Challenges for Energy and Industry” thanks to the financial sponsorship of one of the largest players in the electrical industry, such as ABB.
