EVENT DESCRIPTION
The IEEE Young Professionals (YP) program focuses on researchers up to fifteen years from the first degree and with an option to participate beyond the fifteen-year span. YP is an international community of enthusiastic, dynamic and innovative members and volunteers. IEEE is committed to help YPs evaluate their career goals, polish their professional image, and create the building blocks of a lifelong and diverse professional network.
The 3rd IEEE ITSS R8 Chapters Meeting (Genova, October 24-25 2024 https://r8.ieee.org/italy-itss/2024/09/11/2024-ieee-itss-r8-chapters-meeting/) aims to connect industry and academia to foster technological innovations for intelligent transportation systems.
The event includes a Poster Session & Competition. In this competition, the participants are invited to present their work/research with a poster and a 1-minute pitch. There will be three categories in the competition: Under-Graduate Students; Ph.D. Students; Researchers & Professionals. Prizes (certificate) will be awarded to the best poster in each category. Participation certificates will be given to all the posters.  The poster will be judged on the basis of originality, clarity and by considering the ability to effectively convey the key-points of each presented idea.
We will close the event by a free drink. Everyone is welcome to come and watch.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE
To submit a contribution, please send an e-mail to Angelo Coppola (angelo.coppola@unina.it), YP Representative of the ITSS Italian Chapter, following the below listed information:

A confirmation email will be sent as an acknowledgement.

The organizing committee will print the posters (i.e., posters are free of charge for participants).
NOTE: Please indicate your role as defined above (Bachelor, Master, Ph.D. Student, Post-doc, Research fellow, Researcher or Professional/non-academic). The content of the Poster needs to be compliant with the aspects covered by the IEEE ITS Society (https://ieee-itss.org/)
The outcome of the competition will be announced at the 3rd IEEE ITSS R8 Chapters Meeting.
