Abstract: In the last 5-10 years we have seen a rapid increase in the demand for DC distribution in the marine market. This presentation gives a quick introduction to the difference between AC and DC distribution, advantages, and challenges. The Switch has dedicated solutions for DC distribution, and these are shown with special focus on the Electronic DC Breaker (E-DCB) and Electronic Bus Link (EBL) products.
