Fifth International Conference on Advances in Computational Tools for Engineering Applications (ACTEA’2023)

July 5, 2023 @ 6:00 am - July 7, 2023 @ 6:00 pm UTC

Dear Colleagues, Computational tools are evolving rapidly as computers are key components in all engineering fields and disciplines. The benefits of using computer simulation in production and research are tremendous leading to a more efficient resource allocation and improved cost saving. ACTEA’2023 aims at bringing together developers and practitioners from both academia and industry dealing with computational tools. It is an open invitation to all experts to share their research results and pioneering views about recent trends and developments in the field. ACTEA’2023 is the fifth edition of an IEEE technically co-sponsored conference series and the proceedings of the previous editions are available online at the IEEE Xplore platform. Engineering applications of interest include, but are not limited to Control & Automation: Control Systems, Mechatronics, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Aided Manufacturing, Process Control, Engineering Optimization. Electrical & Computer Technologies: Electromagnetics, Microelectronics, Power Electronics, Power System Analysis, ASIC, FPGA, Semiconductor and Optoelectronic Devices, Communication and Signal Processing, Cloud Computing, Internet of Things, Cybersecurity, Metaverse. Energy & Environment & Petroleum: Energy Technologies, Renewable, Thermal and Fluid Sciences, Pollution, Urban Environment, Oil & Gas, Hydraulics and Hydrology. Engineering Systems: Data Analytics, Geotechnical/Geophysical, Structural, Chemical, Sustainability, Materials, Mechanics, Bioengineering, Mathematical Modeling, BMS, Traffic and Transportation Engineering, Project Management. Engineering Education: Software, Teaching/Learning Tools, Accreditation. Important deadlines: Submission of manuscripts (4-6 pages): March 31, 2023 (Extended) Notification of acceptance: April 30, 2023 Deadline for submission of final paper: May 30, 2023 Some additional information: The language of the conference is English. Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings, which will be submitted for inclusion in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library. All papers must be submitted electronically (a regular PDF not CERTIFIED) through the conference website, https://www.ndu.edu.lb/actea/home or directly via EDAS https://edas.info/N30262. The works must be original and not published. At least one of the authors of an accepted paper must register and attend the conference to present the work. The conference will be held at Notre Dame University-Louaize (www.ndu.edu.lb) in Zouk Mosbeh (10 km north of Beirut), a lovely place squeezed between the Mediterranean Sea and the cavernous Jeita Grotto, which is one of the most impressive subterranean displays of stalactites and stalagmites of the planet. ACTEA’2023 offers the opportunity to explore Lebanon with its legendary hospitality, natural and touristic sites, and delicious food; it is indeed a unique place to visit. The area offers some of the best of Lebanon in hotels, restaurants, shopping centers, theaters, cinemas, art galleries, and sand beaches. You are invited to browse the ACTEA website to access the Call for Papers, registration requirements, and deadlines. You can also read previous conference proceedings and stay updated on the latest developments . Feel free to contact us at actea@ndu.edu.lb for further information, or to receive updates directly in your inbox. NOTE: Due to the economic crisis in Lebanon, the TPC members will take in consideration the registration fees for the LEBANESE AUTHORS/Institutios!!
