Invitation for REDEC 2025
Dear honorable colleague
The 7th edition of the biannual International Conference on Renewable Energies for Developing Countries (REDEC) will be held in Lebanon on September 24-26, 2025.
REDEC is a specific scientific conference that helps in finding innovative and adequate solutions for energy saving and production in developing countries. During the first six editions, participants from across the globe have discussed the scientific issues that were presented and subsequently published in IEEE Xplore. Due to the fruitful results, new topics on smart grids, DC micro-grids, energy management, electric transportation, green production, decarbonization and climate actions have been added, giving more opportunity to a wide profile of participants to present their work in the domain of renewable energy and related research. Papers written in either English or French are acceptable.
The conference will cover the following 7 topics:
A. Renewable Energy Resources: wind, solar, biomass, hydraulic, geothermal, waves, tidal, ocean and others.
B. Renewable Energy Conversion: Electrical power converters, photovoltaic panels, heating and cooling.
C. Energy Storage: Electrical storage, hydraulic storage, thermal storage, hydrogen storage, electrochemical storage, energy storage system control.
D. Electric Transportation: Charging systems for EV and Hybrid EV, V2G systems, fuel cells, battery technologies, traffic management, light duty vehicle management, public transportation, industry vehicles.
E. Energy Management, Saving and Efficiency: Optimal management process, control algorithms, smart grids, grid connectivity and control, DC micro-grids, green and zero consumption buildings, energy recovery, energy harvesting, commercial facility and residential energy management, optimization of industry energy use, ICT applications, renewable energy in telecommunications, renewable energy mobile applications, standards.
F. Policies, Legislation and Socio-Economic issues: Capacity building for the needs of developing countries, mechanisms for providing energy services in rural areas, policy opportunities and challenges for next-generation energy technologies, green inclusive economy models, energy and climate actions.
G. Implementation of educational and research programs in the fields of renewable energy, supporting programs for renewable energy projects.
You are kindly invited to submit and present your latest work at REDEC’25. Please find attached the Call-for-Papers. The submitted papers should be prepared in the two-column single-space IEEE template, and should not exceed the 6-page limit. Up to 2 additional pages are allowed but at additional costs. The electronic submission in PDF format should be done through the link https://edas.info/N32857. For more information, please refer to the guidelines in the conference website https://www.redeconf.org/. Submitted papers must represent an original contribution, not announced, published, or presented elsewhere. All accepted and presented papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings, and those written in English will be submitted for inclusion in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library.
