Following the call for nominations sent last August to fill positions of the IEEE Lebanon Section Executive Committee and the boards of Societies and Affinity Groups, and further to efforts by the chair and other members of the Lebanon section to avoid elections, all positions of the executive committee and boards of societies and affinity groups, to the exception of WIE, have been filled by acclamation in an amicable agreement.

We are grateful to all persons who have accepted to withdraw their nominations and pave the road to face the challenges of the new term 2022-2023. The upcoming period is expected to have continued hardship due the Lebanese economic meltdown, and the local political instability. We can only face these adversities through exceptional cooperation and dedication, and I’m confident that the new boards and committees will face these challenges with firm strides, high morale, and a team spirit.
