Dear colleagues and students, the Summer PhD School of Information Engineering (SSIE) will take place in Brixen, Italy, at the University of Padova’s premises, from the 23rd to the 27th of July 2018. The school was first organized in 1991 by Prof. Silvano Pupolin, who has been its Director until 2016. The initial aim was for it to be a meeting point for Italian PhD students. The friendly environment of Brixen, along with the excellent UNIPD facilities and the high quality lectures, soon increased the school’s popularity amongst Italian institutions and internationally. Every year, we make our best to offer a rich, competent and exciting training program. SSIE 2018 is technically sponsored by the IEEE Sensors Council, Italy Chapter.
