The IEEE RAS Italian Chapter Young Author Best Paper Award was established in 2009. Since 2016 the award has been named after Fabrizio Flacco, member of the chapter and researcher of great scientific and human depth, who tragically and prematurely passed away in the 2016, a few days after winning the eighth edition of the award.
