Italian Conference on Optics and Photonics (ICOP) 2024
The IEEE Photonics Society Chapter cosponsored the Italian Conference on Optics and Photonics (ICOP) held in Florence, from 17 to 19 June 2024.
The meeting aims to bring together researchers from all over Italy and worldwide, networking and exchanging their research developments in the field of Optics and Photonics, in a stimulating and multidisciplinary forum. The Conference covers the areas of Nano and Quantum Sciences, Optical Communication Systems, Optical Imaging and Sensing, Laser and Nonlinear Optics, Applications of Photonic Technology and new Emerging Topics.
The 2024 edition saw the participation of 160 scientists from the world of optics and photonics.
The special session dedicated to young people was held on Wednesday 19 June. The chapter Presidente Antigone Marino awarded the Best PhD Thesis recognition to Daniele Pirone, winner of the 2023 call.
The Conference took place at the Università degli Studi di Firenze, Centro Didattico Morgagni, Viale Morgagni 40, Florence (Italy).
