University of Brescia, Dipartimento di Ingegneria dell’Informazione, Via Branze 38

29 – 30 May 2012

The workshop is dedicated to the presentation of recent advances in the development of novel laser sources and associated physical effects for enabling the extension of the current range of wavelengths, for example in the mid-infrared, and their spectral brigthness (e.g., supercontinuum generation) for future non-invasive biomedical and environmental monitoring and sensing applications.

Keynote Speakers:
Guy Millot, Université de Bourgogne, France : “Raman beam cleanup, supercontinuum and optical rogue events in fiber-based systems”
Falk Lederer, F. Schiller University, Germany: “Soliton molecules and Rogue Waves in mode-locked fiber lasers”
