About Evangelia: Evangelia Balanou is a Data Scientist at Faculty. She specialises in signal processing, and has experience of data science projects in the healthcare, energy and market research sector.

After completing her studies at the National Technical University of Athens in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Evangelia focused on applying her engineering background in the biomedical sector. During her studies towards her M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Patras, Evangelia did her internship as a clinical engineer in Charite University Hospital in Berlin, Germany and carried out her master thesis at the Polytechnical University of Madrid. Evangelia was awarded the Marie Curie Research Fellowship to continue her postgraduate studies at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland and Tampere University of Technology. She then moved to London, U.K. and has worked as a Data Scientist at the Faculty after completing the Faculty Fellowship programme.
