Who we are

IEEE PES Women in Power (WiP) Denmark Committee is a volunteer organization within the IEEE PES Denmark Chapter and IEEE PES WiP Region 8.

The organization includes mentors and role models from Danish industries and academia in the power and energy field, who can help the WiP members to realize their potentials in future career.

The goals are to raise the awareness of gender balance and unconscious bias, and to support the career advancement, networking and education of women in the field.

Chair:

Lisa Marie Dannappel

Lisa Marie Dannappel is a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Wind and Energy Systems, Technical University of Denmark. She received her M.Sc. from the University of Applied Sciences Voralberg, Austria, and the University of Agder, Norway. Her research focuses on modeling and control of electrolysers for power-to-X applications.

Mahshid JavidsharifiMahshid Javidsharifi

Mahshid Javidsharifi is a Postdoc researcher at AAU CROM, at the Department of AAU Energy, Aalborg University, Aalborg, Denmark. She received her PhD degree as a Marie Skłodowska–Curie Early-Stage Research Fellow from Aalborg University. Her research focuses on microgrid energy management, demand response planning, V2G technology, and optimization.

Zeenat Hameed

Zeenat Hameed is pursuing her Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering at the Technical University of Denmark. Previously, she received her master degree in Renewable Energy Engineering from Monash University, Australia. Zeenat’s academic interests lie in power system analysis, control, and operation. These days, she is using machine-learning based algorithms to develop business models for battery energy storage systems.
