El Capítulo Español de la Sociedad de Potencia y Energía (PES) del Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) distinguió, en el Acto de Reconocimientos celebrado en la ETSEIB de la Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), al Prof. Xosé M. López-Fernandez de la Universidade de Vigo, con el Outstanding Chapter Volunteer Award 2023 en reconocimiento su incansable e inspirador liderazgo como Presidente del Capítulo de IEEE PES en España durante los biénios 2020-2021 y 2022-2023.
