On 15th January 2020, the Students’ Professional Awareness Conference (SPAC) was held in University of Ibadan. This event was organized by the IEEE University of Ibadan Student Branch and Society of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Students University of Ibadan (SEEES UI). The event was a huge success, as there were over 200 participants.

The event began at 10:30 a.m, with opening remarks presented by Aduragbemi Adetunji ,the career day committee head. This was followed by an IEEE video that explained what IEEE is all about and it is advancing technology for humanity. The video showed the importance of collaboration.

Afterwards, the keynote speaker, Pastor Olubi spoke about innovation in the global market.  In this, he narrated stories that made the students feel positive about their career.

Immediately after that, the Second Speaker, Engr Dapo Sosanya, spoke on how to enter the Global Market with Innovation.

Thirdly, Demilade Adesiyan, from GE Garage Lagos, spoke on 4 C’s which were Context, Concept, Competence and Collaboration while Dr Ayoola Olusola, made a brief speech.

By 3:15 pm, the event was concluded with Olufemi Balogun, the IEEE UI SB Chair, presenting the Vote of Thanks and Appreciation to everyone that participated in the event.
