The IEEE Nigeria section on 31st of May, 2016 converged at the Newton Park hotel Abuja the Nigeria federal capital for the second general meeting of the year.

The meeting commenced at about 3pm (WCT) with technical paper presentation after welcoming address by IEEE Nigeria Section Chair Engr. Raphael Onoshakpor. This episode witnessed over forty (40) participants that enjoyed the presences of Andy Chen, VP, Professional and Educational Activities Board IEEE Computer Society and Stephen Ibaraki, Chair ACM practitioner board professional development committee also founder and Chairman Advisory Board Digital Africa. Andy presented the computer society and Stephen presented insights on role and investment. Both presenters provided responses to the questions asked by participants thereafter.2

The first session (technical) was concluded with a group photo session. Special guess at the meeting were ushered out of the venue while the Chair commenced the second session of the meeting (administrative meeting) by 5:30pm.

The administrative meeting lasted for an hour. Affinity groups and sub-section meeting were held by various groups.

The Nigeria section appreciates all participants and wishes everyone journey mercies back to their respective destination.3

Prior to the meeting, the Exco had a volunteer workshop from 30th of May, 2016 to early hours of 31st of May, 2016. The facilitator for the workshop was Prof Gloria Chukwudebe IPC and currently Afirca Chair IEEE. Presentations were made by various members of the team as detailed below:
