1st IEEE Section and Technical Meeting on March 14, 2015
The first Section Meeting and Technical Seminar for the year held on the 14th of March, 2015 at FUTO Guest House, Federal University of Technology, Owerri. It has as guest speakers: Engr. P.C Okparaeke with the paper – Nurturing Innovation and Entrepreneurial Culture; Engr. Dr. Collins Agu with the paper – Embedded Systems Development; Engr. Tunde Salihu with the paper – Entrepreneurship: Discovery your Business Niche; and Engr. Dr. N. Chukwuchekwa with the paper – Google Resources for Improved Productivity.
The Section Secretary, Engr Funso Adeyemi and the Young Professionals Chair, Engr Abdullateef Aliyu were presented with awards while the SB Chair of IEEEFUTO Student Branch, Obinna Elezua presented a technical paper on Intel Galileo Board with Kizito Onyema.
After the sectional meeting, Women in Engineering (WIE), Young Professionals (YP) and Robotics and Automation Society (RAS) met and discussed on better ways of improving the activities of the groups. Also, Engr. Dr. Agu met with student members and introduced his NGO – Technological Development for Poverty Alleviation Initiative (TD4PAI).
