Based on the activities list that IEEE Libya Control Systems and Signal Processing Joint Societies Chapter will be focusing on for the first six months, a presentation about IEEE organization History, Structure, Aims and Membership Benefits was held on Thursday 03/12/2020 from 10:00 am to 01:00 pm at Om Alrrabea Faculty of Science and Technology, Sorman, Libya. The target audiences were teaching staff, MSc students, BSc students and other visitors from neighboring faculties and research institutions who are interested in this field. In this presentation, history, structure and aims of IEEE organization were explained; in addition to the demonstration of IEEE membership benefits. The main goal of this presentation was to encourage researchers, faculty members and students to join this prestigious scientific professional organization. Additionally, the benefits to form a student branches at these colleges or faculties were discussed.
