The 2024 Distinguished Lecturers of the IEEE Magnetics Society have been announced and are:
- Kerem Camsari, of the University of California Santa Barbara – Lecture title: “Probabilistic Computing With p-Bits: Optimization, Machine Learning and Quantum Simulation“
- Alina Deac, of the Helmholtz Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf, High Magnetic Field Laboratory, Germany – Lecture title: “Spin-Transfer Effects in Structures with Different Magnetic Configurations“
- Satoru Emori, of the Virginia Tech, USA – Lecture title: “Pumping Iron: Revealing Counterintuitive Mechanisms of Magnetization Dynamics“
- S.N. (Prem) Piramanayagam, of the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore – Lecture title: “Brain-Inspired Computing Using Magnetic Domain Wall Devices“
The MAG Italy Chapter will contact the DLs to invite them to deliver their lecture in Italy during 2024.
