Ovidiu Aurel Pop – Chapter SBC Coordinator

Biography

Ovidiu Aurel Pop received the B.Sc. and Ph.D degree in electronics and telecommunications engineering from the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca in 1994 and 2005, respectively.

Currently he is professor at the same university, at the Department of Applied Electronics, and he is the Dean of Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology. His fields of interest include power electronics, electronics devices, sensors and modelling and simulation of electronic devices and circuits.

Prof. Pop is author and coauthor of 6 books, a coauthor of a book chapter published in an international publishing house, and over 70 papers published in journals and conference proceedings. He was engaged in 8 international and 10 national research grants. Along the time, prof Pop was active in a few IEEE international conferences organizing team.

In 2020 Prof. Pop was Technical Co-Chair of the IEEE EPS European flagship conference ESTC 2020 and Executive Chair for IEEE ESTC2022.
