The IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS) invites you to celebrate EMBS Day on March 5th, 2021. On this day, in 1952, we held our first meeting of the IRE Professional Group on Medical Electronics. What better way to commemorate this day, than to get together with your colleagues for technical discussions, presentations, or simply, an evening of networking and socializing?

A special message from 2021 EMBS President, Metin Akay

Dear IEEE EMBS Members,

Happy EMBS Day to all!!

Engineering and technological innovations over the past few decades have rapidly increased the quality and accessibility of healthcare worldwide. Since 1952, IEEE EMBS has played a key role to highlight, promote and translate these broad and cutting-edge emergent technologies into healthcare practices, subsequently positively impacting education and the quality of life globally.

Now, there is an urgent need for biomedical engineers, clinicians, and healthcare industry leaders to work together to develop novel diagnostics and treatments. As the largest international organization that unites engineers, physicians, clinicians, healthcare leaders and scientists to address global healthcare challenges, we strive for equal access to healthcare innovations and discoveries.

We, the IEEE Engineering in Biology and Medicine Society, will continue strengthening our collective capability to exchange ideas and resources as well as share, access, and manage data and disseminate the latest discoveries to solve global healthcare challenges.

IEEE EMB Greece Chapter is organizing a very special event for this day… Stay tuned!
