Hermann Koch received the 2020 IEEE IEEE PES Germany Chapter Outstanding Engineer Award
For development, standardization, and global impact of gas-insulating technology for substations and high-voltage lines and years of being active board member of Germany Chapter.
Hermann Koch received his PHD from TU Darmstadt in Germany in 1990 and since then he was in different responsibilities in Siemens High Voltage Divisions for of gas insulated technologies for switchgear and transmission lines. In IEC, IEEE, CIGRE, CENELEC and VDE/DKE he served in leading positions in national and international standardization. Since 2020 he is active as Consultant.
